FLOG

UPDATE: Summer is officially over, however the first few days of September were spent in Bristol working on a deliciously funny corporate film for an ecology company - no more excuses for our planet, it has to happen now. work & live sustainably!

July brought another lovely couple of days playing June again in Series 2 of ‘The Change’ filming in the deepest depths of The Forest of Dean, a beautiful location - it promises again to be as hilariously mad as the first and a trip to the South East for a top secret casting session. All very ‘hush hush’ but cross fingers there’ll be a positive result. Stay tuned! So June already and another audio guide, this time for Ravenna Art Gallery. Always love voicing guides for art galleries as I learn so much - well, I think I do then realise I’m concentrating so much on the script all the info has gone in one ear and out the other!

Something smells fishy here at Wilding Towers with a new museum audio guide for the ‘Stabilmento Florio della Tonnara di Favignana (Floria Tuna Factory of Favignana) - a fascinating if somewhat gruesome history of the tuna fishing practices in Italy including the notorious ‘mattanza’ - a traditional tuna fishing technique.

At the tail end of 2023 I made a cameo appearance as DCI Graves in Tony Parson’s new book ‘Who She Was’ - a murder/mystery/love story set in Cornwall and have completed narrating the 2nd volume of the series ‘Hidden Games’ - a fictional tale set in Denmark during the German occupation of 1943-1945. With more to come!

UPDATE: In March I was cast as a therapist for a new commercial called ‘Couples Therapy’ for the Richard Curtis charity Make My Money Matter - my ‘clients’ on the sofa were real life married couple Kit Harington and Rose Leslie - this was an extra special project as it was the first time acting together for them since meeting on the set of ‘Game of Thrones’ over 10 years ago. All is not what it seems! We find Big Oil and High Street Banking bemoaning each other’s contributions and loyalty, big oil accusing banking of ‘greenwashing’ and ‘playing the game’ of respectability and sustainability whilst banking huge profits. It’s a hugely important message and urges you to hold your hight street banks to account and question and hopefully put an end to bankrolling fossil fuels and unsustainable projects with your money.
